Where can I get a Hurst Root Canal?

When the rare case happens – a tooth that has received treatment becomes re-infected or doesn’t sufficiently heal, it’s time to see your Hurst root canal specialist at DFW Endodontics. Endodontists are the specially trained dentists who are equipped with the most sophisticated tools and knowledge to treat the most complicated cases involving the inside roots of your teeth. If you’re facing even a mildly  complicated case, these are the experts to see. The endodontists at DFW Endodontics are highly skilled and experienced when it comes to saving teeth. Providing root canals, endodontic retreatments, and apicoectomies are just a few of the specialty treatments offered at their office.

Hurst Root Canal

The major concern when any tooth becomes infected or damaged at the nerve level, is if the tooth can be saved or not. In very rare cases, after a root canal has been performed, the inside area of the tooth can become re-infected or not heal sufficiently. In more complicated cases, a retreatment of a root canal may potentially jeopardize the tooth or weaken it. An apicoectomy is a careful and precise method to save such a tooth in question. An apicoectomy is a very minor surgical procedure that treats a deep infection in the tooth from the root end rather than the area exposed above the gum line. If you’re in need of an apicoectomy, your Hurst root canal specialist will carefully remove the damaged tissue from the root end of the affected tooth. Placing a rubber-like filling material into the tooth to seal it and prevent reinfection, successful treatment saves patients their compromised tooth, and heals relatively quickly.

After the procedure, your Hurst root canal specialist will prescribe or recommend the appropriate pain medication, if necessary. A cold compress can be used in addition, to reduce swelling. To receive the world class endodontic care you deserve and require, contact DFW Endodontics today.

Endodontist in Hurst

There are many complications, which can result from a dental injury. Sometimes following trauma, a tooth can become partially pushed in or out of its own socket. Referred to as dislodged or avulsed, your tooth may need to be repositioned and then stabilized in order to be preserved. In many of these cases, the vital tissues inside of the tooth are damaged, ultimately requiring your endodontist in Hurst to perform a root canal therapy to save the tooth. Depending on the extent of the dental injury, it may be recommended that the endodontic procedure be done right away or performed later at an appropriate time.

Even in cases where a tooth has been completely knocked out, your endodontist in Hurst will do everything possible to save the tooth. When the trauma occurs, placing the tooth in a glass of milk, or water with a pinch of salt is advisable. It’s important that you keep the tooth moist and avoid handling it too much, as this can damage the tooth. Saving a tooth under these circumstances depends on how long the tooth has been out of its place, how well it’s been stored and how promptly you receive care.

Whatever dental injury has prompted you to require the specialized care of your endodontist in Hurst, the team at DFW Endodontics will take special care to provide you with the best possible results for your smile.

Hurst Root Canal Treatment

To the non-expert, Hurst root canal treatment may sound like something of a mystery. Like with so many other things, having a bit more information about what’s involved can do a lot to make us feel more at ease. Your Hurst root canal treatment specialist performs a root canal on your tooth when something has happened causing irreversible damage or infection to the inside nerve supply of the tooth. Yes, teeth do have nerves, deep inside beneath the tough outer layers of pearly enamel and yellow dentin, a central chamber exists, housing the nerve supply, blood vessels and connective tissue for the teeth. Often, with a traumatic injury, deep decay, or a cracked filling, this inner chamber can be damaged and require the treatment of an endodontic specialist. Endodontists are specifically trained to save teeth by performing root canal therapy for a wide variety of situations. Root canal therapy involves removing the damaged nerve supply, cleaning, disinfecting and sealing the canal back up with a rubber-like material to prevent infection.

If it sounds like “Journey to the Center of the Tooth,” it essentially is. Except this journey is a tooth-saving, comfortable one. With the expert touch of Dr. Wildey or Dr. Dazey, you’ll be in excellent hands. Schedule an appointment today with DFW Endodontics to receive the treatment you need.

Hurst Root Canal

When damage, decay or infection has affected the inside tissue of the tooth, Hurst root canal therapy is typically employed to save the tooth. Although root canals are one of the most common dental procedures, with a reported success rate of 95%, every now and then complications can arise. For instance, a tooth treated with root canal therapy is generally restored with a direct filling or dental crown. Sometimes, dental decay can set in later on, creating a space between the restoration and the natural tooth structure. A gap like this can create an entry point for bacteria to spread deep inside the tooth. Similarly, a loose, cracked or broken restoration can create the same issue. When a tooth becomes re-infected after a root canal, you can count on the specialists at DFW Endodontics to provide state-of-the-art treatment to help save the tooth. Whether root canal retreatment, or a surgical root canal is necessary, you’ll be in excellent hands.

If you’re in need of endodontic care, your Hurst root canal expert at DFW Endodontics is an exceptional choice. To schedule your next appointment, contact their office at the number provided below.
